2. Waduk Wonogiri Optimality
The Danau Rawa Pening Wonogiri reservoir has a total storage capacity of 730 million cubic meters, 90 square kilometers of water area and 1260 square kilometers of catchment area. It is located in the Wonogiri district of Central Java, Indonesia. The reservoir functions as a source of revenue for Wonogiri regency by providing water for irrigation, PLTA, perikanan and pariwisata. However, sedimentation in the reservoir has a negative impact on its capacity storage and thus shortens its duration of operation.
In order to minimize the impact of sedimentation on the operation of Waduk Wonogiri, it is necessary to optimize its operations. This can be done by determining the optimal operating conditions of the reservoir. This can be accomplished by analyzing the inflow and outflow of the reservoir, optimizing the model of sedimentation, identifying the optimal operating condition, and estimating the operating cost of the reservoir. By using this information, the operation of the reservoir can be optimized to improve its efficiency and profitability.
3. Waduk Wonogiri Optimality Using Genetic Algorithm
The goal of this study is to develop a model that can predict the optimal Waduk Wonogiri in order to minimize water loss. The model uses a Genetic Algorithm, which is a method for solving both constrained and unconstrained optimization problems. It is based on natural selection, the process that drives biological evolution. The genetic algorithm repeatedly modifies a population of individual solutions by selecting the best members of the current generation to be parents and using them to produce the next generation. Over successive Andalan69 generations, the population "evolves" toward an optimal solution.
The optimal Waduk Wonogiri for this study is located at a distance of 110deg 55’ 20,27” BT and 06deg 45’ 28,38” LS from the mouth of the river in Dukuh Slalang, Desa Tanjungrejo, Kecamatan Jekulo, Kabupaten Kudus, Indonesia. The optimum water consumption is estimated based on the data of aquifer level and water demand from the community. The evaporation data is taken from the Waduk Logung, which is located in the aquifer of Dukuh Slalang.
4. Waduk Wonogiri Optimality Using Artificial Neural Network
The optimal Waduk Wonogiri can be obtained by a combination of two methods: genetic algorithm and artificial neural network. The genetic algorithm uses a learning approach while the artificial neural network uses a self-learning approach. The resulting optimal model can be used to determine the best time for the operation of the dam.
PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP), an operating arm of APRIL, supports the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Pelalawan District. The RAPP-led project aims to provide the highest possible environmental protection for the surrounding communities while still achieving economic benefits. To achieve these goals, the project needs a well-designed water management system to ensure the long-term sustainability of the local environment and economy. To do so, it is important to have a good understanding of the natural processes that affect the watersheds. This can be achieved by using Geomorphological Instantaneous Unit Hydrograph (GIUH) model based on Geographic Information System
